2/10/11 - Triangle Community Foundation Donors Forum

The Shared Visions Foundation is hosting the Triangle Community Foundation Donors Forum Wednesday February 16, 2011 from 12pm - 2pm at Burroughs Wellcome Fund, 21 T.W. Alexander Drive, RTP, NC 27709.  (Directions are available HERE.)

The Triangle Donors Forum is an opportunity to share ideas, best practices, and funding opportunities with representatives from foundations, businesses, and fundholders.  The February forum topic is "Mental Healthcare in the Triangle: Statewide Decisions and Regional Impact"  with Mebane Rash, NC Center for Public Policy Research and Mark Sullivan, Mental Health America of the Triangle

Ten years after mental health care reform legislation was enacted in North Carolina, our state is grappling with the unintended consequences of this reform:  lack of adequate services, uncompensated cost of treatment across our region’s hospitals, and impact on the public and private mental health work force. February's discussion will give an overview of how previous and current legislation is shaping our state’s mental health care system, and how regional efforts from the public and private sector are being deployed to close the gaps.

Register online by Monday, February 14 at:  http://tdforumfeb1611.eventbrite.com .  Registration is required and seating is limited. Other trustees, family members, or colleagues from your foundation or fund are welcome!
